What does implant placement look like?
The success rate of today’s implants is 98%. To determine if implants are the right thing for you, you need to consult a dentist. The dentist will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums. The examination includes X-rays to determine if there is enough bone to place the implant, and to determine the exact location of the implant.
The dental implant is implanted in the bone, thus performing the function of the root of the tooth. The implant placement itself takes only a few minutes. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, and is completely painless.
It takes 2 to 6 months for the implant to attach to the bone, ie to undergo the fusion process, depending on which jaw the implant is placed in. If the implant is placed in the front part of the mouth, a temporary crown is placed in the cavity so that the patient would not be without teeth at any time.
After the allotted time, the implant "opens", ie the gingiva is formed to give the impression that the tooth is growing from the bone, followed by the prosthetic part of the work, where a ceramic crown is placed on the implant with the augmentation.
The final result is the most faithful copy of your natural tooth, and compensates for the lost tooth without grinding the adjacent teeth.
